BITS Pilani, best private engineering college of India don’t want to limit the job opportunities for computer science students only but will also try to provide equal opportunities for students in other departments also.

Authority understand that presently institute does not just have computer science and information systems disciplines. Some students also passionately pursue disciplines like Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical engineering etc and its their responsibility to avail equal number of opportunities for these students too.
According to sources BITS Pilani has invited many core companies also to participate in BITS Pilani campus placements season.
The official letter from Professor Bijendra N. Jain has already reached the BITS students eligible for placements this academic year. “On a pilot basis we are embarking upon a new paradigm by merging the 2 seasons of our existing placement into one. This is being done for Chemical Engg. & Mechanical Engg. (only). The key advantages of this exercise would be enhanced opportunities for students & larger talent pool for the recruiter’s.”
The letter further reads, “More than 350 companies in the domain of Mechanical and Chemical Engg. have been invited for the upcoming placement season. As a result, all our students would have more opportunities since we expect many more core companies to participate in the single placement season. This year the combined single placement drive is scheduled for 20th December 2013 to 12th Jan 2014 for the Chemical and mechanical oriented branches (for the list of all branches please refer the letter) in each of the 3 Indian campuses.”
