This year all the old IIT’s had an excellent placement defying signals of global recession, while IIT Bombay had 80 global placements and 800 placements till now, the news is that IIT Madras also had a great placement drive with a top offer of 76 Lakh per annum and 769 students being placed.
Apparently the placement rate is 63% this year with 769 students getting placed from 1,208 who have applied for the same, the students placed include 221 BTech, 183 dual degree, 213 MTech, 62 MBA, four from MA Humanities and Social Sciences, 10 MSc, 58 MS and 18 PhD.
The top offer at the institute is made by US based game developer Pocket Gems, which made an offer of $1,35,000 to three B.Tech students.
